Why do they call it "the dead of winter?"

Okay, sure, it's cold much of the time. But now that we've got a generous helping of sparkly white stuff this is the perfect time to get outside and live a little. Our preferred ground cover isn't going to stick around forever so pick out something from our calendar of events to celebrate a world that's not fully warmed yet.

February 13:
February Club Meeting
Nutrition for Skiing and Other Endurance Events
with Frank Alvarez

Remember those leftover Christmas cookies that hung around your house through the early weeks of January? You eventually probably ate them. "Carbs!" you thought, "I need those, right?" Well, turns out there might just be more to fueling your body for skiing than just stuffing it full of cookies. Just in time for the Birkie, Frank Alvarez will help us get the deeper picture on what our bodies really want for endurance performance. You can learn more about Frank here.
